Bridging Worlds: A Jesuit’s Journey Through the Scriptures, Rome, and the Arabic Christian Tradition
Living and studying in Rome has given me a privileged vantage point into both the international character of the Society of Jesus and the deep catholicity, the universality, of the Church. Within my own community, I have shared life with Jesuits from every continent, each bringing their own history, theological intuitions, and pastoral practices. This experience has stretched my heart and broadened my mind. At the same time, being in Rome allows me to experience the universal Church not as a distant institution but as a living, breathing communion of cultures and voices.

حتّى هذه اللحظة، لا أعلم ما هو عنوان خبرتي الشخصيّة… ربّما الأنسب في بدايتها كانت ” دعوة الربّ بين رماد الحرب ونور الكلمة”، واليوم وأنا في سنتي الأولى لدراسة اللاهوت، أضع عنوانًا جديدًا، عنوانًا فكريًّا ” البحث عن الله “، أبحث عنه في كلّ مقال وكتاب ومحاضرة.
ندوة نذر العفّة
في الأول من شهر نسيان ولمدة ثلاثة أيام أقيمت الندوة الثالثة ضمن برنامج (Inter-noviciat) هذه الندوة التي تجمع بيوت الابتداء في مصر من عدَّة رهبانيات رجاليَّة ونسائيَّة. بعنوان نذر العفة الذي قدَّمه الأب نادر ميشيل اليسوعي.
نشاط أغصان الكرمة هو نشاط مسيحيّ إفخارستيّ يهدف إلى تكوين الانسان على المستوى الروحيّ والانسانيّ ويجعله ملتزمًا في مجتمعه على غرار يسوع المسيح، ليشهد بالقول والفعل لإله الحبّ الذي تجسّد ويتجسّد كلّ يوم في قلوبنا. ولد النشاط في مصر سنة 1932، وهو جزء من نشاط عالميّ أكبر يعرف بالحركة الإفخارستيّة للشباب. وفي العام 1949 حصل النشاط في مصر على تصريح من بابا روما لقبول عضويّة المسيحييّن الأرثوذكس ومنذ ذلك الحين أصبح للنشاط بمصر طابعٌ مميز جدًا: “نشاطٌ مسكونيّ”. وفي العام 1976 تمّ تمصير الاسم ليصبح “نشاط أغصان الكرمة”.
يشارك في “أغصان الكرمة” أكثر من 4000 عضو، و700 رائد على مستوى 6 محافظات في مصر: القاهرة، والإسكندرية، والمنصورة، والمنيا، وأسيوط وسوهاج.
مع بداية موجة وباء كورونا المستجدّ، سعى نشاط “أغصان الكرمة” في مصر إلى إيجاد طرق جديدة للتواصل مع الأعضاء واستمرار رسالة النشاط في ظلّ الظروف المستجدّة من التباعد الاجتماعيّ وتوقّف الدراسة. فظهرت مبادرات متعددة من المدارس والرعايا، حيث بادر الروّاد والأعضاء باستخدام وسائل التواصل الاجتماعيّ لعكس طاقات الحياة (شعار العام الماضي) وبثّ رسائل الرجاء والفرح من خلال الاشتراك في إعداد فيديوهات مفرحة وشهادات حياتيّة مختلفة أثارت نشاطًا ملحوظًا على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعيّ.
ومع استمرار الحجر والإجراءات الاحترازيّة، توجّه النشاط لاستخدام التواصل عبر الإنترنت وسيلةً لاستئناف حركة النشاط لخدمة أولادنا وبناتنا واستمرار اجتماعاتنا.
ومن ثمّ، بدأت السنة الحاليّة في سبتمبر 2020 بشعار “يا صاعدي الجبال، لنبصر ألوانًا جديدة، ونحملها للمدينة”، حيث دُعينا في النشاط للانتباه إلى مسيرة حياتنا مع الله واكتشاف عهود محبّته لنا، وأنّه اختارنا لنحمل رسالة محبّة الله للمجتمع.
وعلى ضوء شعار السنة، انطلقت الفرق في المحافظات المختلفة في مسيرتها، بعضها عبر الإنترنت والبعض الآخر في المدارس والكنائس حسب أوضاع كل مكان والإجراءات الاحترازيّة فيه.
كما تمّ إطلاق بعض المشروعات بالتعاون بين المحافظات المختلفة منها فيديو أغنية الشعار وألبوم أغاني الصيف للنشاط، ومسيرة أونلاين لروّاد الجامعة. بالإضافة إلى مبادرة معسكرات ألوان الصيف لرسل الكرمة في مصر (المرحلة الثانويّة) حيث تمّ عرض 6 خبرات مختلفة على الأعضاء ليقوم كل عضو باختيار الخبرة المناسبة له وضمان مشاركة عدد محدود في كل خبرة من أجل الحفاظ على سلامة الأعضاء.
والآن، مع بدء سنة الاهتداء، واشتراك النشاط في احتفالاتها ومسيرتها، انطلقت فرق متعددة في مسيرات جديدة: منها فريق إعداد شعار السنة الجديدة، وفرق إعداد معسكرات الصيف لكبار الشهود، والرسل ومعسكرات التكوين، والتي تمّ التوجه إلى تعديل شكل بعضها المعتاد لتلبية الاحتياج ولاستيعاب الأعداد مع الالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازيّة للحفاظ على سلامة الأعضاء والروّاد.
واليوم، يستمرّ أعضاء الفرق والمجموعات المختلفة في النشاط في التقدّم في مسيراتهم المختلفة، مع الاتّحاد في الروح والرؤية.

النذور الأولى للدارس فواز سطّاح
قام فوّاز يوم الاثنين 24 آذار/مارس 2025 بإبراز النذور الأولى، وكان وقت الاستعداد للنذور مميزًا للغاية. فقد استقبلنا في جماعة القديس أغناطيوس الرئيس العام للرهبنة اليسوعية، وهو اللقاء الذي منحنا فرصة للتأمل والتعمّق في معنى الحياة الرهبانية والنذور.
La « Lectio Coram », une expérience académique ALL’ORIENTALE
Après avoir obtenu l’accord pour mon projet de thèse, j’ai dû me prépa-rer pour ma « Lectio Coram ». Selon les normes de l’Institut Pontificale Oriental (PIO), un an après l’approbation du projet, l’étudiant est invité à présenter une conférence publique sur le thème de sa thèse, appelée « Lec-tio Coram », devant une Commission de trois membres nommés par le Doyen. La Lectio prend la forme d’un débat entre le doctorant et la Com-mission. Celle-ci, après une évaluation approfondie, émettra un avis écrit contraignant pour la poursuite du doctorat.

La visite que le Père Arturo Sosa a faite à la communauté Saint-Ignace a eu un impact profond sur chacun de nous, scolastiques de la Compagnie. Cet impact a dépassé toutes nos attentes. Ce ne fut pas simplement une rencontre pastorale ou une visite officielle, ce fut surtout une rencontre fraternelle.
