فيلم: إغناطيوس دي لويولا – اكتشاف الله في كل شيء‬

يوم ٨ مارس / آذار ٢٠٢٠، حين دخلت البلاد تدريجيًّا في الحجر الصحّيّ بسبب جائحة كورونا، كلّمني أخي قائلًا “ها إنّ الناس تدخل بيوتها ولا تعرف كيف تقضي وقتها… هوذا الوقت المناسب لرياضة روحيّة في البيت.” وهكذا نشأت رياضة “خلّيك بالبيت”. من خلال الفايسبوك والواتسآب، أرسلتُ يوميًّا، ولمدّة ستّ عشرة يومًا، نصًّا يحتوي فكرة روحيّة واقتراح تأمّل في الإنجيل. وانتشرت تلك الرياضة انتشارًا واسعًا في الأوساط العربيّة في العالم كلّه. ممّا شجّعني على أن أرسل سنويًّا بالطريقة نفسها تساعيّة تأمّليّة قبل عيد الميلاد ورياضة روحيّة بيتيّة خلال أسبوع الآلام.

J’ai eu l’occasion de participer, avec Salim Daccache, Recteur de l’USJ, à l’Association Internationale des Universités Jésuites (IAJU) qui s’est tenu à Bogota du 30 juin au 4 juillet dernier.

دخلتُ مرحلة دراسة الفلسفة وأنا أحمل في قلبي تساؤلات عديدة: لماذا ندرس الفلسفة في تكويننا الرهباني؟ وهل نحن بحاجة فعلًا إلى الفلسفة في واقعنا اليوم؟ وهل تخدم رسالتنا في خدمة الآخرين؟ وكوني أرغب في أن أسير في خطوات نحو أن أكون راهبًا يسوعيًا، أقدّم حياتي لله في خدمة الآخرين، كان سؤالي واضحًا: بماذا ستفيدني الفلسفة في هذا المسار؟

كان فضول دراسة الفلسفة هو فضول يسبق بداية الحياة الرهبانية، والسؤال الذي طرحته على نفسي عندما طلبت الرهبنة اليسوعية مني دراسة الفلسفة كجزء من التكوين الشخصي هو ماذا أريد من الفلسفة؟ وخاصة بغياب وجود أي خلفية مسبقة عن الفلسفة.

لم تكنْ رحلتي الجامعيةُ مجرّدَ تَحصيلٍ أكاديميّ، بل تحوّلًا في الوعي والذاتِ، وسيرًا في دربِ البحثِ عن المعنى والغايةِ في عالمٍ تتسارعُ فيه وتيرةُ الحياةِ وتزدادُ التحدّياتُ. سأروي لكم فصولَها من السنَةِ الأولى إلى نهايةِ هذه المرحلةِ التي بدأتْ ولم تنتهِ.

حين أستعيد مشواري الجامعي في بيروت، أشعر بامتنان عميق يغمرني. لقد كانت هذه الرحلة أكثر من مجرّد مرحلة دراسيّة، بل كانت تجربة حيّة وممتعة أثرتني على كل المستويات. عشت خلالها حياة جامعيّة نابضة، لا في الكتب والمحاضرات فقط، بل في العلاقات واللقاءات، في اللحظات الصغيرة والمواقف الكبيرة، في الأسئلة التي طرحتها، وفي الأجوبة التي وُلدت من رحم النقاش.

Le 5 janvier 1964, eut lieu une rencontre historique entre le Pape Paul VI et Athénagoras 1er, Patriarche Oecuménique de Constantinople. Un an après, il y a donc près de 60 ans aujourd’hui, fut lue à Rome et à Istanbul une Déclaration commune de ces mêmes Pape et Patriarche, qui exprimait leur décision d’enlever de la mémoire et de l’Eglise les sentences d’excommunication de l’année 1054. En juillet 1967, Paul VI s’est alors rendu pour deux jours en Turquie où il a rencontré les autorités civiles et religieuse du pays, en particulier le Patriarche, et la communauté catholique.

The iconic gesture of Pope Francis stooping down to touch the water at the Baptism Site of Jesus in Jordan highlights the importance of Francis’ Apostolic Journey to the Holy Land in 2014 as well as his personal embodiment of a servant Church that kneels to serve. The three-day pilgrimage, which took place from May 24-26, 2014, marked the 50th anniversary of the historic meeting between Pope Paul VI and Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Athenagoras in Jerusalem on January 6, 1964.

Le pape François s’est rendu en Égypte les 28 et 29 avril 2017, à l’invitation d’Al-Azhar, pour participer à la « Conférence internationale pour la paix ». Il s’agissait de la première visite d’un pape dans le pays depuis celle de Jean-Paul II en 2000. Cette visite est intervenue dans un contexte marqué par les attentats du Dimanche des Rameaux contre les églises coptes d’Alexandrie et de Tanta (située à mi-chemin entre Le Caire et Alexandrie, dans le delta du Nil). Le choix de maintenir ce voyage malgré les risques fut un geste à la fois prophétique et pastoral.

Living and studying in Rome has given me a privileged vantage point into both the international character of the Society of Jesus and the deep catholicity, the universality, of the Church. Within my own community, I have shared life with Jesuits from every continent, each bringing their own history, theological intuitions, and pastoral practices. This experience has stretched my heart and broadened my mind. At the same time, being in Rome allows me to experience the universal Church not as a distant institution but as a living, breathing communion of cultures and voices.
