Ce ne fut pas simplement une rencontre pastorale ou une visite officielle, ce fut surtout une rencontre fraternelle.

A few months ago, when bombs were falling on the country and on Beirut, it was uncertain whether I could be with you on this occasion. Yet, I deeply wished it would be possible. Today, I am truly delighted that the situation, which has so profoundly changed since then, allows me to be here. I am very pleased to be able to join you in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Saint Joseph University of Beirut and, through this celebration, to express the deep attachment and esteem of the Society of Jesus.

I have just received horrifying news about what happened in Bethlehem after Joseph, the child, and I left that night… The king’s soldiers came and slaughtered the children without mercy. Neither the mothers’ pleas nor the fathers’ courage could stop them!
Je m’appelle Abiud Alejo et je né le 16 Javier á Tecalilán, Jalisco, Mexique. Cette ville est très connue pour le « Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán ». Mon père s’appelle Efraín Rolón et ma mère María Jesús Macías Mejía. J’ai 3 sœurs et 2 frères.
Je travaillé comme professeur pendant un année scolaire en le pre-noviciat dans « Instituto Lux » école jésuite à León Guanajuato. En Mexique, nous devons avoir une année de travaille apostolique et nous habitons en une communauté jésuite avant entrer dans le noviciat qui nous appelons « prenoviciado ».
J’entrais noviciat le 24 juillet 2016 á ciudad Guzmán et prononçais les vœux le 28 juillet 2018. Pendant mes études de philosophie travaillé dans un refuge pour émigrant d’Amérique centrale pour 2 années et comme professeur dans l’école « Pedro Arrupe, SJ » unes autres 2 années.
J’ai fini les étudies de la philosophie dans ITESO en Guadalajara et j´ai commencé le « magisterio regency » cette province. Je arrivé à Beyrouth depuis le 1 septembre 2022 pour étudier l’arabe et pour le moment j’habite dans la communauté de Saint Ignace avec les scolastiques. Ensuite, j’irai à Homs Syrie pour réalise mon « magisterio regency » et aurai travaillé avec les jeunes là-bas.
Je suis intéresse en les religions, les cultures, et la migration, je pense que Syrie sera une bonne place pour trouver Diu en les différents lieus et serai une bonne opportunité pour apprendre sur la culture arabe, les religions et partager la vie avec las personnes.
