Au début, je ne connaissais pas précisément la mission du CJC ni son lien avec les Jésuites. Pourtant, en tant qu’ancienne élève de leurs écoles, je savais une chose : ils ne ferment jamais leur porte à ceux qui frappent. Mais ce n’est que lorsque j’ai commencé à travailler avec eux que j’ai compris la profondeur de leur engagement. J’ai découvert qu’ils ne se contentent pas d’être aux côtés des plus fragiles : ils y sont, pleinement, avec humilité et sincérité, sans chercher ni reconnaissance ni lumière. Ils ne parlent pas de solidarité, ils la vivent.

بعد انتظارٍ طويل بسبب جائحة كورونا (نتمنّى أن يكون الجميع بصحّة جديدة)، وقع اللقاء القطريّ المصريّ في شهر أبريل في مدرسة العائلة المقدّسة في القاهرة. بدأنا اليوم الأوّل بالصلاة مع الرئيس الإقليميّ والمشورة الإقليميّة وبعض الأخبار عن اللقاء والإقليم، واحتفلنا بعدها بالقدّاس الإلهيّ.
تمحور اليوم الأوّل حول المطريّة (كنيسة الآباء بالمطريّة) فهي حاليًا رعيّة تابعة للكنيسة القبطيّة الكاثوليكيّة في القاهرة. وكان السؤال المطروح: هل على الرهبانيّة أن تهتمّ (من كلّ النواحي) بهذه الرعيّة، لتصبح تحت رعاية كهنة يسوعيّين؟ فطُرح الكثير من الآراء التي رُفعت إلى الرئيس الإقليميّ.
أمّا اليوم الثاني فكان حول السنة الإغناطيّة. فقدّم لنا القيّمون على دير الابتداء ملخّصًا وأفكار عن كيفيّة تنشيط هذه السنة، مع تحديد يوم انطلاق السنة الإغناطيّة الذي سيكون في 20 أيّار (مايو) 2021. ومن ثمّ انقسمنا إلى مجموعات عمل لطرح أفكار جديدة لمسيرة هذه السنة، على مستوى الجماعات والمؤسّسات التي نعمل فيها. تشاركنا الكثير من الأفكار التنشيطيّة الجميّلة، وسيهتم دير الابتداء مع بعض اليسوعيّين بتنظيمها والبحث في طرق تنفيذها خلال السنة، مع إعلام الجماعات بكلّ جديد للتعاون المشترك.
وفي النهاية طُرحت افكار مختلفة لتنشيط اللقاء القطريّ السنويّ الذي سيُعقد في شهر آب (أغسطس) المقبل.

From March 20 to 21, Father Arturo Sosa, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), visited Minia, Egypt, as part of his journey to witness and support the Jesuit mission in the region. This visit highlighted the longstanding commitment of the Jesuits to social, educational, and spiritual development in Upper Egypt, particularly through the work of the Jesuit community in Minia.
