خوف، قلق، رفض، تَعثُّر، قبول، انفتاح، حب، حماس، فرح، تعاون، لعب، دراسة، تكوين، رياضة، عمل فردي وجماعي، مشاركة وفرح… كل هذه المشاعر والأفعال تتداخل لتكوّن خليطًا نادرًا من التجارب الإنسانية، يجعلنا ندرك أن شيئًا مهمًا قد حدث، وأن هناك ما يستحق الانتباه والرعاية والتغيير. هذا هو جوهر الفصول الشتوية للمرحلة الإعدادية 2025/2026م، حيث يُصنع التعلم، وتَزدهر الصداقات، وتَكتشف كل روح إمكانياتها في بيئة مليئة بالحياة والحيوية.
32nd Prayer Rally 2025
The Arrupe Migrant Center (AMC) of the Society of Jesus celebrated the 32nd Prayer Rally with joy and hope on a beautiful Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish in Achrafieh, Beirut. October, a month dedicated to the Holy Rosary, calls us to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through heartfelt prayer.
The Jesuits in Aleppo
It is Saturday evening, and something is stirring within the venerable old walls of the Jesuit community in Aleppo. A group of friends stroll into the building—they’ve arrived early for the weekly movie night—and settle into the garden at the heart of the community, where a group of students is also taking a break and discussing life and faith with Frère Julian.
Le samedi 7 décembre, treize membres de notre communauté sont montés à Bikfaya pour prier ensemble à l’occasion de l’avent et se préparer à Noël. Certains craignaient le froid et portaient un surplus d’habits. Mais quelle surprise agréable d’y trouver le soleil et une maison bien chauffée !
Le père Hany Rayès avait préparé un sujet très ignatien sur le troisième degré de l’humilité. Comme d’habitude on commençait la journée par une courte prière. Ensuite Hany présentait le sujet. Honnêtement, pendant presqu’une heure son audience restait attentif à chaque mot qu’il disait puis qu’il nous montrait que sans une vraie humilité notre vie spirituelle, apostolique et communautaire restera superficielle. Le désir, ou au moins le désir du désir, d’imiter Jésus dans le mystère de sa souffrance est une condition nécessaire pour pouvoir faire des choix équilibrés dans la vie. À la fin il nous envoya dans la nature pour y méditer sur quelques textes bien choisis. Après trois quarts d’heure de prière personnelle on se retrouvait pour un partage très riche de nos expériences personnelles, trop riche pour le résumer ici en quelques mots. A la fin, un de nous d’une façon très réaliste nous rappelait que cette troisième degré d’humilité est certes très souhaitable pour que nos relations communautaires et apostoliques restent authentiques, mais que sans vivre le premier et deuxième degré (c’est à dire d’éviter tout péché mortel, voire véniel) ce troisième degré est impossible.
La clôture de la matinée a été une célébration eucharistique, où Francis Berkemeijer avait amené avec lui (cela est devenu presque son habitude) son compatriote Nicolas Kluiters comme exemple comment vivre l’humilité dans la vie courante en désirant de communier à la souffrance du Christ.
Pour conclure cette matinée spirituelle, un repas exquis préparé par la cuisinière de Bikfaya nous a donné la force et le courage nécessaires pour redescendre du Thabor vers la réalité de la vie dans notre chère Beyrouth.

اللقاء القطري في لبنان تشرين الثاني ٢٠٢٥
في لقاءٍ أخويّ، اجتمع اليسوعيّون من القطر اللبناني في دير سيّدة النجاة في بكفيّا يوم السبت الموافق 15 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني، وذلك في إطار سلسلة اللقاءات القطريّة. وقد كان اللقاء بعنوان “تحدّيات الخدمة الكهنوتيّة في الرهبانيّة اليسوعيّة”. بدأ النهار بصلاة في كنيسة الدير، ثمّ قضينا وقتًا من المحادثة الروحيّة في مجموعات صغيرة انطلاقًا من مقطع من خطاب البابا لاون الرابع عشر بعنوان “من أجل لاهوت أساسيّ للكهنوت”. بعد ذلك احتفلنا بالقدّاس الإلهي في كنيسة الدير، وقد كان المحتفل الأب هاني الريّس الذي يحتفل بمرور ستين سنة على حياته المكرّسة.

On est rassemblés aujourd’hui pour confier à Dieu Arij, ce cher compagnon jésuite qui a cherché si on peut dire Dieu toute sa vie et l’a trouvé à travers les détours, les hauteurs, et parfois les solitudes de son cœur.

تخدم رسالة التعليم المسيحيّ في حمص – سوريا ما يزيد عن 1700 شخص، من أطفالٍ وشبابٍ ونساء. بعد سقوط نظام الأسد، وما تبع ذلك من خوفٍ عميقٍ انتاب المسيحيّين أمام المجهول والتغيّر والفوضى الأمنيّة، واجهت رسالتنا، كغيرها، العديد من التحديات خلال السنة الماضية. ومع ذلك، عشنا خلالها الكثير من علامات الرجاء التي أنعشت قلوبنا وثبّتت خطانا في الخدمة.
