It is both an honor and a privilege to address you today and to share with you the mission, dedication, and ongoing efforts of the CJC family in Zahlé.

Au début, je ne connaissais pas précisément la mission du CJC ni son lien avec les Jésuites. Pourtant, en tant qu’ancienne élève de leurs écoles, je savais une chose : ils ne ferment jamais leur porte à ceux qui frappent. Mais ce n’est que lorsque j’ai commencé à travailler avec eux que j’ai compris la profondeur de leur engagement. J’ai découvert qu’ils ne se contentent pas d’être aux côtés des plus fragiles : ils y sont, pleinement, avec humilité et sincérité, sans chercher ni reconnaissance ni lumière. Ils ne parlent pas de solidarité, ils la vivent.

يوم السبت 11 تشرين الثاني كان موعد اللقاء القطري اللبناني في دير سيّدة النجاة – بكفيا.
التقينا بدايةً في صالون الدير “للدردشة وفنجان قهوة” قبل أن نتوجّه إلى الكنيسة لصلاة البدء، وكانت فترة سجود أمام القربان الأقدس (بتحضير الدارس رودي خليل).
من ثمّ رحبّ الأب دُني ماير بالحضور في قاعة الاجتماع وابتدأ اللقاء مع الأب سامي حلاق بحديث حول الموضوع: “ما هو الجديد في الإرشاد الرسوليّ الأخير “سبّحوا الله”؟
تبعه حلقات حوار في المجموعات تمحورت حول السؤالَين التاليَين:
– نظرًا إلى وضع البلاد المتدهور على عدّة أصعدة، هل موضوع “الحفاظ على البيئة” يشكّل بالنسبة إليك أولويّة رسوليّة – كما تطلبه الرهبنة اليسوعيّة ؟
– كيف نستطيع في ضوء هذا الإرشاد الرسوليّ – كيسوعيّين في لبنان، وفي ظلّ الأحداث السياسيّة والاقتصاديّة والأمنيّة المتأزّمة – أن نربط أخطار البيئة الحاليّة بعمل إنسانيّ ميدانيّ فعّال ومتواصل ؟
بعد الاستراحة كانت خلاصة لعمل المجموعات خُتمَت بأخبار متفرقّة عن الإقليم مع الرئيس الإقليميّ مايكل زميط.
التقينا من جديد في الكنيسة مع الأب هشام شمالي للقدّاس الإلهيّ بالطقس المارونيّ، وكان من ثمّ الغداء احتفلنا فيه بعيد ميلاد رودي.

From March 20 to 21, Father Arturo Sosa, the Superior General of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), visited Minia, Egypt, as part of his journey to witness and support the Jesuit mission in the region. This visit highlighted the longstanding commitment of the Jesuits to social, educational, and spiritual development in Upper Egypt, particularly through the work of the Jesuit community in Minia.
