À quelques jours du Nouvel An, je voudrais remercier le Seigneur pour toutes les grâces reçues au cours de cette année 2025. Je le remercie pour les douze années du pontificat du pape François. Je le remercie également pour l’élection du pape Léon.
Note du consulteur, décembre 2025
La consulte s’est tenue à Saint-Joseph à Beyrouth du 4 au 7 décembre. Mais pourquoi elle a été plus longue que d’habitude ? Elle a été entrecoupée par plusieurs célébrations importantes. Le 5 décembre, à la Bibliothèque Orientale, la version numérique du Dictionnaire des Auteurs Arabes Chrétiens a été lancée en hommage à son auteur, le P. Camille Héchaimé, décédé il y a 10 ans le 3 décembre 2015.

معرض بلدي بيتنظّم في مصر كل شهر ديسمبر من سنة 1995. المعرض بيقوم عليه مجموعة من رفاق الكرمة المتطوعين، وبيعكس روح العمل الرسولي والخدمة الجماعيه، من خلال دعم المنظمات الخيرية والتنموية، وكمان تمكين الجمعيات الصغيرة في كل أنحاء مصر، عن طريق إتاحة فرصة ليهم يعرضوا ويبيعوا منتجاتهم اليدوية.
Between the joyful celebration of two priestly ordinations in Lebanon, Bikfaya convoked the young priests of the province for four days of prayer, reflection and conviviality. Many having lived together at length in their various stages of formation, this gathering gave young priests a chance to come back together, to rest, and to share graces and challenges from our first years of ordained ministry in the Society and in the Church. Eight of us priests were present, all within five years of our ordination. In the recent past, such meetings have occurred every two years.
This time provided a rich opportunity to take a step back and examine our relationships – with God in prayer, with one another in community, with our work and with the people that we serve. The discussions quickly became a safe space for deep and honest sharing, sparing no soaring consolation or cutting critiques of the way we live or do not yet live, both individually and communally. Though our experiences were the primary catalyst for our sharing, with the accompaniment of Fr. Naoras Sammour, we also employed intra-province circular letters and Gospel passages to help interpret and frame our reflections. The experience included ice cream, a mechaoui with the family of Tony Homsy, who was in town for his ordination, and a conversation with provincial Michael Zammit. Those present included: Amir Adel, Joseph Fawzi, Joseph Nabil, Youssef Abdel-Nour, Jad Jabbour (not pictured), Rabih el-Hourani, Garrett Gundlach and Vincent de Beaucoudrey. We are grateful to the province for this initiative and to Bikfaya for the hospitality.

معجم الأب كميل حشيمه اليسوعيّ يواكب العصر ويصبح رقميًّا
احتفلت جامعة القدّيس يوسف في بيروت والرهبانيّة اليسوعيّة في الشرق الأدنى والمغرب العربيّ، يوم الجمعة 5 كانون الأوّل/ ديسمبر 2025، بذكرى مرور عشر سنوات على رحيل الأب كميل حشيمه اليسوعيّ (1933-2015)، العلّامة الذي كرّس عمره لخدمة التراث العربيّ المسيحيّ.
CVX in Lebanon and Pope Leo XIV
When Pope Leon came to Lebanon on the 1st of December, and knowing it was his first destination, we honestly felt seen and cared for after such a long time of feeling hopeless as youth. The joy and excitement we experienced were unbelievable and truly filled my heart.
Rencontre des Jésuites en Algérie
Durant ces deux journées (7 et 8 novembre 2025), nous avons pu approfondir notre mission dans le contexte du pays et de l’Église locale. Le Père provincial nous avait encouragés, quelques mois auparavant, à poursuivre notre discernement sur la meilleure façon de vivre notre mission avec un petit groupe de jésuites.
