خوف، قلق، رفض، تَعثُّر، قبول، انفتاح، حب، حماس، فرح، تعاون، لعب، دراسة، تكوين، رياضة، عمل فردي وجماعي، مشاركة وفرح… كل هذه المشاعر والأفعال تتداخل لتكوّن خليطًا نادرًا من التجارب الإنسانية، يجعلنا ندرك أن شيئًا مهمًا قد حدث، وأن هناك ما يستحق الانتباه والرعاية والتغيير. هذا هو جوهر الفصول الشتوية للمرحلة الإعدادية 2025/2026م، حيث يُصنع التعلم، وتَزدهر الصداقات، وتَكتشف كل روح إمكانياتها في بيئة مليئة بالحياة والحيوية.

The Arrupe Migrant Center (AMC) of the Society of Jesus celebrated the 32nd Prayer Rally with joy and hope on a beautiful Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, at St. Joseph Parish in Achrafieh, Beirut. October, a month dedicated to the Holy Rosary, calls us to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary through heartfelt prayer.
The Jesuits in Aleppo
It is Saturday evening, and something is stirring within the venerable old walls of the Jesuit community in Aleppo. A group of friends stroll into the building—they’ve arrived early for the weekly movie night—and settle into the garden at the heart of the community, where a group of students is also taking a break and discussing life and faith with Frère Julian.
À l’occasion du tricentenaire de la division du patriarcat grec (rūm) d’Antioche en 1724, un ouvrage collectif intitulé La division du patriarcat grec d’Antioche et la construction des identités confessionnelles orthodoxe et catholique a été publié. Fruit de la collaboration entre le Pontificio Istituto Orientale (PIO) et le Centre de documentation et de recherches arabes chrétiennes de l’Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (Cedrac – USJ), cet ouvrage, édité sous la direction du père Željko Paša, S.J., du professeur Bernard Heyberger et du père Ronney el Gemayel, S.J., regroupe les contributions de 18 chercheurs spécialisés.
Ce volume examine les dynamiques historiques, sociales et économiques ayant conduit à la division du patriarcat, tout en analysant les relations complexes entre les Églises de Rome, de Constantinople et d’Antioche. Il explore également les conséquences confessionnelles de cet événement et fournit des clés de lecture pour mieux comprendre les processus de formation des identités religieuses. Disponible aux éditions de l’USJ, cet ouvrage constitue une ressource incontournable pour les chercheurs et étudiants intéressés par l’histoire des chrétiens d’Orient.
Une conférence internationale pour approfondir les recherches
Le 29 novembre 2024, une conférence internationale s’est tenue dans l’Aula Magna du PIO à Rome pour commémorer ce tricentenaire. Organisée conjointement par l’USJ et le PIO, cette rencontre académique a mis en lumière les thématiques abordées dans l’ouvrage, tout en ouvrant un espace de réflexion critique.
La présentation inaugurale du professeur Bernard Heyberger a offert une perspective connectée sur les événements entourant la division du patriarcat. Dans une intervention complémentaire, le père Ronney el Gemayel a analysé les répercussions à long terme de cette scission, en soulignant son impact sur les relations inter-ecclésiales et les constructions identitaires.
Une table ronde, modérée par Bernard Heyberger, a rassemblé plusieurs chercheurs pour examiner les questions encore en débat et proposer des perspectives de recherches futures. Cet échange a mis en avant l’importance d’une analyse critique des sources historiques et des récits liés à cet épisode.
Perspectives pour un dialogue renouvelé
La publication de cet ouvrage, associée à la conférence, constitue une opportunité pour relire les événements de 1724 à travers un prisme scientifique. En offrant des outils analytiques, elle invite à une meilleure compréhension des enjeux historiques et religieux, tout en promouvant un dialogue renouvelé entre les Églises concernées.

اللقاء القطري في لبنان تشرين الثاني ٢٠٢٥
في لقاءٍ أخويّ، اجتمع اليسوعيّون من القطر اللبناني في دير سيّدة النجاة في بكفيّا يوم السبت الموافق 15 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني، وذلك في إطار سلسلة اللقاءات القطريّة. وقد كان اللقاء بعنوان “تحدّيات الخدمة الكهنوتيّة في الرهبانيّة اليسوعيّة”. بدأ النهار بصلاة في كنيسة الدير، ثمّ قضينا وقتًا من المحادثة الروحيّة في مجموعات صغيرة انطلاقًا من مقطع من خطاب البابا لاون الرابع عشر بعنوان “من أجل لاهوت أساسيّ للكهنوت”. بعد ذلك احتفلنا بالقدّاس الإلهي في كنيسة الدير، وقد كان المحتفل الأب هاني الريّس الذي يحتفل بمرور ستين سنة على حياته المكرّسة.

تخدم رسالة التعليم المسيحيّ في حمص – سوريا ما يزيد عن 1700 شخص، من أطفالٍ وشبابٍ ونساء. بعد سقوط نظام الأسد، وما تبع ذلك من خوفٍ عميقٍ انتاب المسيحيّين أمام المجهول والتغيّر والفوضى الأمنيّة، واجهت رسالتنا، كغيرها، العديد من التحديات خلال السنة الماضية. ومع ذلك، عشنا خلالها الكثير من علامات الرجاء التي أنعشت قلوبنا وثبّتت خطانا في الخدمة.
